I also have this issue :(
BBedit version 10.5.3 (3280)
I have tried the following setting to be able to sort the files:
defaults write com.barebones.bbedit
SurfNextPreviousInDrawerOrder -bool YES
but no luck.
Anyone been able to get this working ?
