I'm on BBedit 10.5.5, but this bug has been around forever... When using BBEdit in "split window" mode (drag the little handle on top right down do you see two vertically stacked panes for the same file), BBEdit has an odd tendancy to randomly make the split pane that does NOT have the focus erase itself. This always happens while typing or navigating in the other window.
Basically, the entire window turns white. Clicking in the white window restores the line clicked on (guesswork, since it's invisible), while nudging the scroll bars causes the entire pane to re-write. No text is lost; it's just not displayed correctly. This is pretty annoying, as most of the time the split is so that you can see one part of the file while editing another. I've not been able to figure out what triggers this, but when it triggers it can vanish every minute or two (or even every few seconds). --Tim -- This is the BBEdit Talk public discussion group.
