Chris, I'm sure you're right about the newer version you're using. Maybe my
older version of BBEdit works a little differently? In the Projects window
there are _two_ file lists; the one on the left (called "Project") seems to
just focus in list order when I click the mouse buttons; the separate list
on the right ("Documents") sometimes behaves the way I described, sometimes
not. I guess I am a little confused about this. I can't find anything about
this in the general prefs, window popdown prefs, or BBEdit 9 manual. I have
a vague memory of having set something about this behavior, but as I said,
I can't remember where that was. Maybe I altered the expert settings; I
don't remember. All I know is sometimes -- usually in a regular multi-document window, not necessarily a "Project" window -- I can clearly toggle back and forth between the two or three documents I've most recently been working on (and saved), ignoring the intermediary items in the list, using the back/forward mouse buttons. Which is convenient. Obviously I'm fuzzy about this behavior, however; I never really got the hang of exactly what was happening.
