Thanks Chris,
It's the en mass replacement I need to do for hundreds of files.
I can certainly place a replacement tag such as "#FULLPATH#" at the
appropriate place within each of the relevant files using the multi-file
search and replace from within BBEdit, but the scripting to replace that
tag with the full absolute path of each file within the file itself escapes
me. Manually finding the tag, choosing the Edit -> Copy Path menu and
pasting then save & close will take hours.
I see lots of sample scripts doing "tell front text document" type stuff,
but I'm certainly not planning to open each of the hundreds of files I need
to change, either simultaneously or sequentially, if I can avoid it.
Subsequent multi-file grep finds can tell me if the replacements were
successful by quickly scanning a find history window.

Cheers,
Geoff
