Hey Chris,
Brilliant - worked extremely well.
Bombed out a couple of times on a very large base64 blocks which,
as you predicted, turned out to be non-text (one a .PNG, another
some unknown format) - but it was just a matter of deleting those
blocks (conveniently already selected - so just cmd-Z) and starting
back up your AppleScript to continue onwards.
