OK I didn't realize projects auto-saved. (I generally don't like auto-save.) So 
then I still don't understand why Save Project is even on the menu if it's 
never necessary or (in my case at least) available. 

And it also doesn't explain why the first time I reopened a project I had 
created the day before, it didn't contain any files. But it's working now, so 
who knows?
