I’m sure our resident applescript fanatic could write you a script. :)

But now I’m wondering if there’s a way to apply a snippet to already-existing text. (I don’t use snippets so I don’t know.)

Map a keyboard shortcut to Markup > Font Style Elements > Italic.

Codes not foreseen by BareBones, more of a script operation I guess.
