Hi All, I've found that I've come to rely on BBEdit and use it as a memory-adjunct. I have 400+ files 'open' in BBEdit on my old computer (BBEdit 12.1.4, running MacOS 10.13.6).
I recently was handed a shiny new Mac by my employer. One of the first things I installed was BBEdit (13.0.4, MacOS 10.14.6). So far so good...but my files didn't make it across. Okay, so stop the new BBEdit, and copy across the ~/Library/BBEdit directory, and crank up BBEdit again. I hoping to get all my temporary files that are not saved. Sadly, no. BBEdit starts up as it was before. One open file. So, is this a case of 13.0.4 storing the files differently? Is there an easy way to accomplish what I'd like to do with copying the old state over to the new computer? I do still have access to both computers, and can copy files across. I'd like to get the state of beet to my new computer soon so I can return to old computer and stop using it. Thanks! -Ken -- This is the BBEdit Talk public discussion group.
