For reference, this misbehavior is not directly related to the prior inquiry; 
it is instead the result of an OS issue which sometimes manifests upon system 
restarts.

To the current poster and anyone else who may have encountered this issue, the 
best way to avoid it is to explicitly quit BBEdit before restarting your 
machine (whether doing an OS update or just a normal restart).


Finally, as a general request for everyone out there:

*Please* don't hesitate to contact us if you're having any trouble with BBEdit 
-- we're always happy to answer questions and would much rather you ask than to 
miss a potential problem, and as always, tech support <supp...@barebones.com> 
is the place to go. ;-)
