Hello Rich, Thank you for your reply. I understand your point about the document list and why it was changed. I preferred the original way because (for me) it works better on a smaller screen and I have to keep repositioning my sight-line as I'm expecting the line numbers and text to start from the extreme left of the screen, as with a command line text editor. It is also easier to visually "ignore" the document list if it's over to the right-hand side so I don't get distracted by it.
Thank you also for your suggestion for permanently disabling the synchro scrolling. I am still getting used to the new version and did not really see that option or know what it did. Thank you very much for your time and efforts on BBedit. It is still the best editor on a Mac after 25+ years!
