Hello to all: I really enjoy help desk oriented work, including hands-on hardware and general OS technical support. I'm also A+ certified and am soon to be Network+ certified.
I'm been doing support since high school days, graduating in 1989, then in college, getting my bachelor's in 1996. I'm doing support to this day and really love it. It recently occured to me that I'm not on any help-desk type of email lists. My main interests are hardware, Windows, some Mac and some UNIX. I'm on some Windows, Mac, and UNIX lists, but nothing general where people might swap ideas/stories in a variety of areas. I'm not looking for anything high level. Just a discussion list by and for people looking to reach out to other help desk colleagues. I know bblisa has a jobs list, but if the help desk support list included job stuff, too, it would be interesting to see what is happening in other markerts/areas. I'm in the Boston area. Thanks.
