Hi, there,

I am trying to run my personal, home, little, cute
mailserver in the basement. It runs, naturally, on
Linux. This is Suse 8.0, patched, but it does not
matter here. The server accepts only ssh, SMTP and
HTTP. My wife wants to access her mail from her
Windows 2000 laptop. With telnet out of question
and no money for ssh from Datafellows, I figured
that I need to put in some sort of web mail
client, so that my wife will be able to access her
mail.

I found Webmail, which looks good but still is in
his 0.X version and Hypermail, which is a good
choice to display mailbox content, but cannot be
used to send mail.... I hope, somebody has already
had this problem before.

I have two questions:

1. How would you approach this problem; is web
interface to mail a best choice here?

2. In the case of web mail interface, what is a
best choice of software?
