I have in westborough MA....due to remote site RIFs and the economy, an OLD (sexy chrome frontplate) NetApp F540 NFS filer (also a worse F330) to GIVE away................working well; disk size is the downside.
VINTAGE: Uses netapp's older scsi, nothing bigger than its two "best" 7x9gb shelves. (oops, one is now 6x9gb and shrinking) I have many 7x4gb shelves to junk too. sigh. UNLOVED BECAUSE: 4gb and 9gb drives simply arent worth the effort/space/etc. F700 series and up w/ 18gb, 36gb, 72gb disks, is what we've all migrated to. so i'm tomb-raiding a few 9gb disks (for suns) and feeling sad about it :) So unless you really know this model/product and already have some of it, I dont recommend it, but there COULD be someone already running this vintage and glad to get a SPARE (head, shelf?) -doug --- Send mail for the `bblisa' mailing list to `[EMAIL PROTECTED]'.
