Hi everyone,
i am using the bcm43xx driver (softmac version) on an 2.6.15.2 kernel
on an ibook 14" (1.3ghz).
Although the module and the stack, following the howto, do compile and
load, i get this:
iwconfig eth1:
eth1 IEEE 802.11b/g ESSID:off/any Nickname:"Broadcom 4306"
Mode:Managed Access Point: Invalid Bit Rate:1 Mb/s
Tx-Power=off
RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:off
ifconfig eth1:
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:11:24:A7:CE:18
BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
Interrupt:52
but then ANY command i give to ifconfig, even if i have already
configured the interface with iwconfig, i get:
SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory
What can this be?
An error in my configuration or what?
My lsmod:
Module Size Used by
....
bcm43xx 441112 0
ieee80211softmac 32352 bcm43xx
ieee80211 40616 bcm43xx, ieee80211softmac
ieee80211_crypt 7136 ieee80211
....
Any hints?
thanks a lot, bye
