Hi folks!
I have a Compaq Presario 2397 with an integrated Wireless card from
Broadcom.
Both Compaq and Broadcom have NOT answered my call for drivers and have
finally reached this project.
I have searched the supported devices
http://openfacts.berlios.de/index-en.phtml?title=Bcm43xxDevices
and I have found my device Subsystem Vendor ID and Subsystem Product ID
under a different name:
HP Compaq
nx6110 PY511EA laptop 0x103c 0x1356
nx6125 laptop
I think it could be added to this list, isn't it?
Here's the extract of doing lspci as told in the example page:
0000:05:02.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce
One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02)
000:05:02.0 0280: 14e4:4318 (rev 02)
Subsystem: 103c:1356
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 64, IRQ 3
Memory at c0204000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K]
Another thing.
This driver can _only_ be build on a 2.6.16 tree?
I'm currently using a 2.6.15 on debian/unstable using the
linux-image-2.6.15-1-amd64-generig and would like to
help (as far as my knowledge ant time goes) int this project. But I
would like to avoid using kernel 2.6.16... So... is there an _easy_ way
to compile this project with only the 2.6.15-1-amd64-generic headers?
I'm running on a Debian amd64 pure environment.
Thanks for your effort!
Sebastià.
