It is a BCM4311 PCI-E card. > Also, from the thread at > http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-409194-postdays-0-postorder-asc-start-0.html > I heard that I have to apply the 10-pices patchset at > http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-netdev&m=114805420427939&w=2, > but I didn't yet. > Also, I am using the driver from the kernel... The driver in the 2.6.17 kernel does not handle PCI-E cards. I have incorporated the 10-piece patchset into my sources, but so far, the card doesn't quite work. I don't know why at the moment, as there are reports of it working for some users. One problem has been a lack of control over the "radio on/off" switch. Would it be possible for you to download the 2.6.18 kernel from kernel.org? If you can, then get the patch for 2.6.18_to_wireless_2.6 from ftp://lwfinger.dynalias.org/patches. The patch contains all the latest stuff for bcm43xx including the PCI-E patches. If you do try it, please send me the logged messages.
