Hi,
        I tried your tree.  It doesn't work too well with my bcm4306
chip.


I see not one but two interfaces created: eth1 and wlan0_rename.

"iwlist scan" shows many access points in range, but neither interface
apparently attached  to this card will associate, even if I explicitly
set access point and ESSID:
