Well, it works like this:

- I associate with an AP at 11 M
- After some time, the bit rate changes to 24 M
- So I use (*) to set it back to 11 M (and iwconfig prints 11 M pronto)
- After some time, the bit rate changes to 24 M
- etc.

This is all the same AP all the time.
