Came to remember this remark, and you are absolutely right !!
Kernel loads up these: "processor thermal pata_amd sata_nv fan jbd ext3 edd"
at boot. Times out with no response from the disk.
Any remark as to who/where I should go with this ?
( kernel: 2.6.22.5-282 from OpenSuse )
Anything changed in later kernels ?
