You don't need another laptop, just create a radiotap monitor interface with
iw (iw dev <card> interface add rtap0 type monitor), then run
kismet/airodump/wireshark/<your favorite packet dumper> on rtap0, and try to
authenticate on your main interface. Or try ieee80211_regdom="EU", possibly
the card requires it. (This message is in English because it needs to be
readable on the list.)
