As conjecture has been raised over how much of this might
be architecture related, versus how much of it is the card's fault, I've
done a few hours checking on both 32 & 64 bit machines here, and
this is what I have found ;
32bit bcm43xx linux-2.6.20 working
linux-2.6.24 working
(disregard earlier report of RX packet dropping - my fault...)
64bit bcm43xx linux-2.6.24 not working
One line (two words) of debug are logged - 'bcm43xx driver' then
nothing. Modules registers in kernel tree, associates with other
dependant modules, appears to be loaded but no interface in
either iwconfig or ifconfig is registered.
32bit b43 linux-2.6.24 not working
64bit b43 linux-2.6.24 not working
The 32bit kernel build displays the exact same problem as I first
noted using this 64bit machine.
All the firmware installed/used was as per b43 webpage..
