have u chk that user's hav read permission on it    
    
like when i write my first cd in slackware then it failed and damage 
  
my cd (after finish writing fixtating or something like that (in    
windows call is lead in lead out) fail becoz of permission problem

slackware won't do anything it self, u have to manually do it.
