Guys I need your help deciding which OS I should install, Solaris or Linux.
I am going to install it on my laptop. so I am not going to setup any mail
server or DNS server on it. However I am going to do some Development (i.e.
Software Development) work on it. So I need to decide should I go for Solaris
or Linux. If Linux then which distribution and version. Also look at the system
configuration if it will support those OS.
Acer Aspire 5670
1.66 Core duo
1GB RAM
512MB AGP
SATA HDD
Is there any problem with the brand laptops running other OSs than the
supplied one?
