I'm planing to keep a second OS.
Thats y cant decide which one will be better.
I heard that solaris is also a linux but a better one.
Ubantus GUI is cool.
now which one should I go for?

You can install other OS on the system. But supplied OEM version OS are
specially designed for the system, which includes special drivers &
software. So for better performance you should use the supplied one.
I guess the supplied OS is Windows and you want to use Linux, I don't see
any problem if you use Linux on the system.
