plz let me know 2 things

1. give command #wvdialconf (output ?)
2. gnome-ppp (detect modem option)

if this 2 fails

there may no specification for /dev/xyz in you udev for your modem.

(i do not know fedora use udev or not)

write a udev script (you need some hour to understand this, easy)
you can follow other modem script to write yours (it may be 1 or 2 line)

I write one for my mobile, So you can also.
