For blackspot on roses and apples I found that a tree paste made with lots of 
equisetum and horn quartz did wonders.  Also very early, upon bud break 
applications of 501 should be started and continue every two weeks, try 
ground applications through flowering, resume canopy spraying upon early 
fruit set...sstorch
