The 'house lady bugs' are most likely an invasive import (more orange than red) and not to be confused with the ladybugs Rodale taught us all to treasure. We get 'em and we ignore them for the few months that they will be here. Heaven knows what they are up to, clinging to the window above the kitchen sink, but they don't seem to be eating on anything, or, for that matter, soiling anything, so we just leave them be. If I didn't like them, I'd try playing some Ted Nugent, or something, really loud until they took a hint. (At least this works for other unwanted guests.) -Allan
