Deborah:

As a fellow sufferer from poison oak and poison ivy, I've come up with a
couple things which work quite well.

Find some Jewel Weed and rub it on. Same with Comfrey - use a mortar
and pestle to pound the leaves, then apply a poultice.

But nothing works as well as Tea Tree Oil. Run down to the health food
store and buy it immediately!

However - if it's *really* bad, steroids are the only (and final)
choice. I've avoided them for many years, but had to take them when I
ended up sitting in a patch of poison ivy (at a beer fest. Oops.).

Both poison ivy and poison oak can be systemic - and may cause breathing
trouble if not treated in the advanced stage.

Good luck - and let me know how the three remedies above work for you!
