Dear Gil
As you would be well aware by now most of NSW is in serious
drought and I, like many farmers, am about at my wits end. The simple truth
is if we dont get some worthwhile rain in the next two weeks we will most
likely loose our entire grain crop. The worst part is that I thought I just
might be able to something this time
I have spent the weekend broadcasting a BD sequence which has
seemed to work a bit in the past - no result this time though. I've been re
reading anything rain related of the BD list which has brought me to this
posting of yours. I had followed the Hugh Courtney sequential spray idea and
just done it via instruments instead of physically spraying out - this was
what Hugh Lovel aparently did at first too - the 508 to end the sequence was
seen as the trigger for rain - I had been running the lower well stuff (BC,
500, WHC) all night and then the upper well (501 ,508 ) only for two hours
of a morning as I believed that doing these all day was clearing the clouds
away.
I was alarmed when I re read this post of yours which said
the horsetail will stop the rain and can cause drought. Could you please
expand on this for me and tell me what you do that does work?
The situation is that serious in NSW and southern Qld that
all of us that have instruments should be doing an orchestrated - co
ordinated group treatment to try and get things moving in the right
direction again. I would like to try and organise this with Cheryl and some
others that I know have instruments.
When I think about what I have done in the past, and check my
records, any success that I had with helping rain has all happened in the
warmer months and been with our summer storm type rain fronts. I have had no
worthwhile result broadcasting into the winter patterns at all.
I do hope you can help with some tips to get us on the right
track
 Cheers
Lloyd Charles
