Me too - I got really sick a few years ago from using soy milk as a dairy
replacement - it will take years to repair the damage I did to my digestive
system - and as above here this stuff is in everything!! Large scale
cropping of soyabeans (and canola) is a huge outlet for the products of the
chemical companies.
We just saw (yesterday) our ABC TV landline program with an interview of the
young farmer from Kansas who was sued by Monsanto for deciding to stop using
roundup ready beans.
This is a real interesting case and really shows the chemical company in
their true colours. Here we have a young, progressive, and successful
farmer, quite happy to use bought seed and any amount of chemicals required
to do a "good " job, a major farming operation, 3500 acres of beans, several
million $ turnover, and he quit pure and simple because THE SYSTEM WAS NOT
PERFORMING. yields were lower and costs were higher using RR. This would be
a real bad example so they had to silence this guy and eventually they did -
sued him till it became evident he could loose the farm and then he settled
out of court with a hush clause in the settlement contract. He made an
interesting comment at the end , saying that a lot of farmers are happy
putting up with the lower yield and higher costs because it (RR) allows them
to " FARM DUMB" !!
