I have witnessed residual effects of round up as fall die off of grasses under the canopy with no application or other environmental reason except a spring application of round up. It may not kill 100% of the biologicals in the soil food web, but it kills at least 80%, leaving only bacterium and annihilating the protozoa and fungi, grapevines want fungal soil. This leads to the destruction of "terroir". Might as well drink Welch's grape juice... sstorch
