If this link went underground we would be stifling the link that 2000+ / wk
tap into. Research in this area is indicating that the minority (us) is now
growing at a rapid rate, should we not nurture and feed rather than be
silenced?

You know, one thing that is evident to most anyone who spends any time on this list: lots of people believe everything they read or believe that something that is in print must be true.

I guess that's why there's so much acceptance of information without community. I find information without community to be a dangerous thing. I feel that one major aspect of tradtional agriculture is the re-recognition of the importance of community.

This list will never be closed to anyone who is willing to pay as little as giving up their anonymity to register. In this way, information with community is available to anyone who is truly interested.

On the other hand, 2000+ hits a week on the archives could be nothing more than continual blind poundings by SPAM crawlers...

As far as standing up for my believes at every opportunity or choosing silence over mundane struggle, I feel that words are a lot less important than examples, that the walk is more important than the talk. That's what a lot of us who would prefer to pick our battles are using our energy for: the sort of demonstrations of the validity of these ideas that cause people to be curious about how we do what we do and to ask to learn more. To each his own, but I think, in the long run, practical demonstration over flying the freak flag is the way to gain converts and a valid way of being true to one's own ideals.

Lastly how many of those 2000 plus hits are accidental hits
coming from google searches for purposes other than interest in the list??

Brilliant insight, Lloyd!
