Dear Greg,
you must have a degree in marketing..... your last post reads like any other advertisement for whatever agricultural product one could think of.
I have been oberserving your posts now for a while and I have to say it is always the same pattern ..... you and your Agri-Synthesis Field Sprays are the best and nearly everyone else has got it wrong and is stupid - at times you call others even idiots - well what a sensitive and charming way of dealing with each other !!!
Could you agree on the fact that EVERYONE within this movement has got only the best intentions to do as good as they can, to do their best for this planet and his/her fellow human being ? Of course some are smarter, more switch on, not so dogmatic and so on - but do you know what the responsibilty of the ones who got the gift being smarter etc is - it is to use that advantage not just to your own benefit but to help the ones which are not on that level yet.
If I might add to this thread before it gets bogged down in the controversial mundane, I agree with Tobias more than with Gil regarding Greg's superlatively described home-grown products and the passion with which he describes their merits. As for the advertising hype of displaying 'facts' that are at odds with reality - well, whoever let the truth interfere with a good story?
In my opinion, however, Greg's greatest error does not lie in blowing his own commercial trumpet, something we all do from time to time, but in blowing it here on a list dedicated to the biodynamic way of farming..
Greg, it may not have struck you as yet, but we are not your competition nor are we your market. I think it would be true to say that in talking to the members of BDNOW! you are preaching to the converted and so are wasting your time, your effort and your superlatives. Additionally these 'converted' know the 'real' costs and values of using BD preps and substances - every footstep you take along this path has the potential to lead you into a nightmare of claims and counterclaims. Do you really want this to happen?
I suggest to you that your true market is that of the farming community who have never heard of Steiner or of BD preps, or have tried the latter and for some reason failed in their endeavours. Go and preach your wares there, shout their effectiveness from homestead to homestead.
But not here, if you please.
Roger
