Hi!   First, let me rephrase your expression: this code isn't bad, its just that its 
not what you are looking for, keeping in mind the reasons you specified :-). All the 
same, even the data you keep constant will have your .data filled up.   All the same, 
from what you have specified, I believe this is what you are looking for:    
int SubArray1[]={1,2}; 
int SubArray2[]={1,2,3}; 
int *MainArray[]={SubArray1,SubArray2}; 
 
printf("%d %d\n",MainArray[0][0],MainArray[0][1]); 
printf("%d %d %d\n",MainArray[1][0],MainArray[1][1],MainArray[1][2]);
