Hi,    Have you added the client side handler on the server side using the attribute 
function? if not aspx page willnot know which function to call on client side. for ex: 
 
txtOtherItem.Attributes.Add("onpropertychange", return ValidatePage()) 
here txtotheritem is the text box name, you are directing validatepage which is the 
client side javascript to fire on onpropertychange event. 
Try this way.
