Hi Mrinal,
There is a Phone validator in PUBS.NET code and a coupla other validators, try looking
through the code.
If you are using VS.NET, then add a regular expression validator to your inpuit
control, in validationexpression, you can choose US-Phone to validate the phone number
format you mentioned (It will put the reg exp as ((\(\d{3}\) ?)|(\d{3}-))?\d{3}-\d{4} )
Date reg exp is not pre defined, so go ahead and write your own reg exp.
These accept NULL values or the correct format values only. Just what you want!
Spark, may be you must give a 15-30 min reg exp talk on BDOTNET sometime :)
