----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Pandurang_Nayak Message 2 in Discussion Hi amit, Implementing single-sign-on is not difficult at all. All you need is a central user details repository - could be database, could be directory access, and then you need a set of generic components that do the sign-in process. You could also give some templates for developers to integrate the logic into their applications. Be sure to use generic templating like XML, XSL, etc. You cannot use Passport for custom databases. Though you can use the SDK for doing sign-ons in your intranet application - the sign-on will happen over the web. Still suggest you download the passport SDK and look into the features provided there to help you design your custom sign-on. rgds Pandurang ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/BDotNet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
