Hi again Amit, When I meant XML/XSL templates, I did not mean any third-party
software. What I meant is something like this: 1. You have a central user repository
2. You have a set of components for accessing data from your repository (these could
be accessing database, accessing directory service, etc.). These components would
typically have methods like GetUserDetails(string usercode), AddUser(object
arrDetails), etc. 3. You have a layer of components for doing actual business logic.
This could have details like PerformLogin(), RaiseError(), DoRegistration(), etc.
The reason I am suggesting 3 layers here is so that you can change DB and then only
require to change the data access components instead of biz logic. After this, comes
the presentation layer. Here you would either have WinForms, WebForms or even maybe
traditional ASP/VB screens. The reason I asked you to use XML/XSL is so that you
can store configuration properties, display logic, etc. in XML/XSL. Which means your
SDK provides something like a custom page/form designer - which provides the developer
with the options of playing around with the layout, images, etc. The settings that the
user chooses are carefully stored into XML/XSL pages that are used by your form/page
respectively to display content appropriately. This approach would give you a
complete wizard based "Single-Login for Dummies" package :) Hope you get what i was
looking at. rgds Pandurang
