----------------------------------------------------------- From: Sitaraman Message 4 in Discussion Hi Gaurav!!! An analogy could be the NTVDM(NT Virtual DOC machine) in Windows NT , which is basically a Virtual DOS Machine to launch 16 bit applications. When such an app is launched in the NTVDM, the VDM provides an environment equivalent to DOS and the app is made to believe that it is running inside its native OS for which the programme was written. The VDM takes care of operations like thunking(16 bit <->32 bit conversions) etc. So for the 16 bit app the VDM is equivalent to the Virtual Execution System and it does not know about the underlying OS on which the VDM itself runs, i.e. NT Right!!! regards sr ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/BDotNet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
