If the Server is on different domains (Web Server and DB server) then try giving proper rights between the domains using trusts. 2. Goto the MSDTC properties. For this open Component Services in a mmc. Right Click My Computer -> Properties -> MSDTC Tab -> Click Security Configuration Button at bottom -> Check "Network DTC Access", "Network Transaction" and "Network Administration" check boxes. And restart the MSDTC service alone from the services configuration. This did solve my problem and I hope this helps you also.
