It does not perform a redirect. Then you can use server.transfer or response.redirect for tranfering to differenct page. Otherwise your application will think that use is not authenticated still, so whenever you try to access any page it will redirect to login page. So either you need to use redirectfromloginpage method which does both(creating cookie and redirecting) or SetAuthCookie method.
