Hi all
I fell always uncomfort when i see any dicussion in dot net group regarding to CLR and
MSIL.actually i think, exact functionality is not clear to me.pls see below and tell me
my assumption is right and also tell me how can see MSIL because sombody told me in my
previoys query that through MSIL connection string can be accessed and advised me put
the connection string in web.config file.i waana see my connection string through
MSIL.pls help me .
my assumption regard MSIL is..............

Upon Compliation all the Code gets conveted into MSIL code.
This code is what the CLR can execute.<o:p></o:p>
IL is not machine code.<o:p></o:p>
The compilers also emit the Metadate which makes it completely self describing.
The CLR will load this MSIL(or IL) code and JIT complile to convert IL into machine
Code just before the execution. So CLR also natively compiles to machine code from IL
form. After this the code will be executed.<o:p></o:p>
I have one more confusion when i build my application ,is my application is compiled
i.e Generate the MSIL.
and when start application is MSIL is converted to machine code through CLR.Am I
right.also some confusion regarding about JIT(Just In Time) compiler.i mean why it is
called JIT ,how it is different form the normal compiler like c,C++.
becauss i don;t have too much experience so if i am wrong anywhere or for my silly
query.parden me.
