I did that. I do not think it is working :(

Well I need to add something to my query - 

I am accessing files and folders on the machine where this service is
installed. But does this matter in anyway?

Some times when we delete an EXE/DLL associated with the service and
then try to uninstall it (or install it back again), it gives error.
Well it might not be the solution, however  1. restart your PC 2. c:\>
net stop yourservicename 3. c:\> installutil/u yourservice.exe 4. c:\>
installutil yourservice.exe 5. c:\> net start yourservicename   Sumit
