Hi Vinu,   I thought I give my views on the same ... I did tell Mahesh that there is 
something wrong if you suspect that the SQL Server is locking ... This is by design 
that SQL Server would lock records for giving you concurrency and consitency of data 
... And suspecting the same is something I donot agree upon.   You must be accessing 
the same resource from two different connection that can be a problem as one 
connection makes a DML operation the other connection cannot select it out ... But 
since you are on a COM+ environment this should be taken care behind the scenes.    
And wrt NOLOCK is a table level hint and you will not be able to give the hint with 
the query builder. And using hints is also not a solution you should be looking 
forward ...   We surely can take up this at the UG meeting today and see what others
