:) .... I join roshan in encouraging the group!!! get
news and info of your choice get "pushed" to you and you dont have to "pull"
it.... !

If you feel me and rosh are speaking greek and latin, let
me prove we aren't ! ;) .. juz kiddin.. these links might help u understand
RSS:

    http://www.aplawrence.com/Basics/rssfeeds.html
     http://course.wilkes.edu/webmaster/wmlectures/rss/

these days every other site exposes (syndicates) the latest
in its site ! MSDN has mentioned by rosh.. sun, eweek..etc.... the other big
thing on the net : blogs! a blog feature list is incomplete of it doesnt offer
rss feeds! my blog's rss feed : http://rajspace.blog-city.com/rss/default.rss ...
the free version of blog-city only gives the "subject" of the blog in the feed !
but its better that blogspot (deepak's blog) which doesnt give this :p ... ;)

i use some alpha version of FeedReader! i havent also
explored too many others... and No, its not powered by .NET ! :( ... the fact
remains i dont (read "cant") have .net on my system....:)

assuming you will soon power yourself with a news
reader/aggregator, is might be for u....
http://eurohost.webmatrixhosting.net/rajivraj/google/googlerss.html
.. google results as rss feed ! :) ..forex:
http://eurohost.webmatrixhosting.net/rajivraj/google/rss.aspx?search=bdotnet will
give google results for bdotnet! just replace bdotnet with whtever u want ! i
did this a while back! but a couple of stuff remain pending....! those who
attended the sesssion i gave on google wud have heard abt it frm me then.

    njoy!
    Rajiv

                              Hi folk,
While most of you would have,
atleast partly, heard of RSS feeds, i would
encourage you to start using a RSS news reader,
especially if you have a decent internet
connection. We are talking about a few kb of
data here, ie all, but some folk might not
                              apprecaite it.

RSS feeds is a simple xml format
for exposing news/information. This kind of
information typically comprises of updates, new
articles etc to sites. MSDN, GotDotNet, various
Blog sites etc do maintain RSS feeds.

While you can read the xml
manually, it is nice to use a reader. I use one
called Beaver ( iahvent explored too many others).
Beaver is simple and nice. it is written with .Net
                              and can be downloaded here:
                              http://www31.brinkster.com/toolmaker/beaver.htm

These are some nice RSS feeds to
                              subscribe to :
