Hi group,

I am sending mail from one of my web pages and I am getting
this error

The
transport failed to connect to the server

Description:
An unhandled exception occurred during the
execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more
information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The transport failed
to connect to the server.

The fact is I do not have the SMTP server running on my web
server. I am accessing the smtp server in a network Lan domain. So what should
I do? Do I have to run SMTP server on my machine and thru this local server
connect to the LAN SMTP server?

I am not able to proceed. Please help

Regards,

Sujay
