The problem/error which yu r getting is due to the fact that the code is your application is not able to trace the mailserver, from which yu send mails. 1 Is yur mailserver and the dotnet server r both the same machine ? if both r the same yu can give smtpmail.smtpserver ="localhost". 2. If Both r different: You must get the name of yur mail server , or its IP address: ex: smtpmail.smtpserver="mail.servername" (or) smtpmail.smtpserver = "164.XXX.XXX.XXX" --yur mailserver ipaddress. if yu have smtpmail.smtpserver="" also the mails wil be sent. Suppose if yu have Diffeent mailservers in yur network, give server names in the combo box and select from which server yu need to send.
