I also had similar problems when I installed, uninstalled, reinstalled the beta version of VS.Net. I could not install the final release (licensed). I had to reformat the hard disk for installing the fianl release. But this helped me indirectly :-) I had to take backup of entire hard disk. Next month, there was a crash.
