I think you have not marked your column UserID as an Identity column. This is the 
reason why you are getting this error. Open enterprise Manager and select the table. 
In the UserID column add it as Identity column with the properties at the bottom of 
the screen ... This should work I suppose ...   HTH, Vinod Kumar
