But i feel that XSLT wont supported by most of the browsers. so if i use client side script to generate the tree wont help me. Dinesh -> i can't set autopostback to "false" , because on-expand i have to get the child nodes. also on-click i have to get the details about the node. see, my tree may have some 50000 nodes, so i am not generating the entire tree in the beginning, only the outer nodes will be shown first. on-expand i have to go to server and get the child nodes. If a particular node is already expanded then it should pick the childs from cache, that is should not reload [see msdn tree].
